Masai Mara/Lake Naivasha- Hells Gate National Park After early breakfast we depart at 0730 am for Lake Naivasha to reach your lodge in time for lunch. Have afternoon tour of Hells Gate National Park. “Hell's Gate National Park is a remarkable quarter of the Great Rift Valley. Spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers, scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa. In addition to the bio-diversity that includes raptors, visitors can enjoy (optional) walking, mountain biking, rock climbing and a natural spa.” Animals found here include the African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle and baboons as well as the klipspringer antelope and Chandler’s mountain reedbuck. There are over 100 species of birds in the park, including vultures, Verreaux's Eagles, augur buzzard and swifts. Overnight at Naivasha West Beach Camp- standard tent (BLD)

Naivasha-Longonot National Park After early breakfast, we drive to the nearby Mt. Longonot National park for a hike. Mount Longonot rises from the floor of the Great Rift Valley like a monolith and is an extinct volcano. It last erupted in the mid-1800s and it takes about 2 hours from the Park Gate to reach the rim of the crater and descent back to the gate. However, going round the crater rim would mean another two hours, thus making the total hike approximately 4 hours for the round trip. The track up the mountain slope is steep and can get slippery at some points as terrain has fine volcanic dust, with loose gravel in some areas of the hike. The crater rim provides great scenic views across the beautiful Rift Valley all the way to Lake Naivasha. Wildlife attractions at Mount Longonot include buffaloes, elands, lion, leopard, bushbucks, common zebra, giraffe and Grant’s gazelles though not likely spotted during the hike. Back to your camp for lunch and relax at your leisure. Overnight at Naivasha West Beach Camp – standard tent (BLD)
